A savory and sweet dish featuring chicken thighs marinated in a honey and gochujang blend, resulting in a sticky, flavorful glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 boneless chicken thighs (skin on)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, grated
  • 3 stalks of green onions (white and green parts separated)
  • 2 tbsp gochujang paste
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Debone the chicken thighs if not already deboned, ensuring the skin remains intact.
  2. Combine grated garlic, gochujang paste, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add the chopped white parts of green onions to the marinade.
  4. Place chicken thighs in a zip-top bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, coating it evenly.
  5. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
  6. Cook the marinated chicken using your preferred method (grill, bake, or pan-fry) until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is crispy.

Notes

For a crispy finish, avoid overcrowding the cooking surface. Allowing the chicken to rest after cooking helps redistribute the juices.
