A comforting dish that brings back memories of family dinners, featuring tender chicken smothered in a creamy sauce served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil
  • Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until golden brown on both sides, about 6-7 minutes per side.
  2. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside. In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and chicken broth, mixing well.
  4. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes until fully cooked.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the rice according to package instructions.
  6. Serve the chicken and gravy over the fluffy rice, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, consider adding a dash of milk or extra broth. Customize with additional spices as desired.
