Monterey Chicken combines savory flavors with tender chicken breasts, topped with barbecue sauce, Monterey Jack cheese, and crispy bacon for a delicious meal.

  • 4 Chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup Cooked and chopped bacon
  • 1/2 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 2 Green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and top with barbecue sauce.
  6. Layer on the shredded Monterey Jack cheese and crispy bacon.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes
