  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Incorporate garlic and ginger, sautéing for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the bell pepper and onion, stirring to fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables become tender.
  5. In a small bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal. Adjust the spiciness by modifying the amount of gochujang used.
