Ingredients
Scale
1 pound chicken breast (cut into bite-sized pieces)
2 cups Brussels sprouts (halved)
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce (use low sodium if preferred)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
Salt and pepper (to taste)
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ginger in a small bowl until well combined. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for about 5 minutes until they begin to caramelize. Remove and set aside.
Add chicken pieces to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
Return the Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Pour the honey-garlic sauce over the chicken and sprouts, stir to coat, and simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer. Adjust salt based on soy sauce’s saltiness, and experiment with chili flakes for heat.
