Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 5-6 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add water and broccoli florets, cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Discard excess water.
  4. Reduce heat to medium-low, melt butter in the pan, then stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce; cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Gently fold in broccoli until mixed and coated.
  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and parsley if using. Serve warm, optionally over rice or pasta.

Notes

Adjust the garlic amount based on your preference; consider marinating the chicken for added flavor.
