  • 4 pieces skinless chicken breasts or thighs, boneless
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup warm chicken stock
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: Caramelized onions for garnish
  • Optional: Shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add two tablespoons of butter and allow it to melt until bubbling.
  3. Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  4. Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the skillet, searing for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. With the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the warm chicken stock, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  8. Stir in the remaining two tablespoons of butter, honey, and dried parsley, blending well.
  9. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is coated with the sauce, and let it cook for an additional 10-15 minutes until it’s cooked through.
  10. Optional: Garnish with caramelized onions and sprinkle shredded cheese on top before serving.
