  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine the cooked chicken, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Season the mixture with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly to evenly distribute the spices.
  3. Lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto the lower third.
  4. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling and repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
  5. Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Carefully place a few taquitos seam-side down in the skillet and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the taquitos from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the remaining taquitos.
  8. Serve warm with optional toppings like salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.

Notes
