A comforting and flavorful dish featuring chicken in a rich, creamy sauce with aromatic spices.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Add chicken pieces to the mixture, mix well, and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  5. Add minced garlic and ginger, cooking until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
  7. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat and add heavy cream, stirring to combine.
  9. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or naan.
