A comforting dish combining tender chicken with creamy orzo pasta and rich Italian flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken breasts over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. Add garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the orzo, chicken broth, heavy cream, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook until the orzo is al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and return the chicken to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  5. Serve hot and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half the cream with chicken broth.
