  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)
  • Fresh scallions and sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the minced garlic and black pepper, stirring frequently to combine. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Incorporate the bell pepper, onion, and broccoli florets to the pan. Stir-fry for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour the soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce (if using) over the chicken and vegetables. Toss well to coat.
  5. Cook for another two minutes, ensuring everything is heated through.
  6. Serve the stir-fry over rice or noodles, garnished with fresh scallions and sesame seeds.
