A classic Chicken Parmesan featuring breaded chicken, rich marinara sauce, and gooey mozzarella, perfect for impressing family and friends.

  • 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Create three shallow dishes: one for the flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for the breadcrumbs.
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat in the breadcrumbs.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, fry each piece of chicken until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the fried chicken to the prepared baking dish. Pour marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
