A quick and satisfying air fryer recipe featuring golden, crispy Parmesan crusted chicken breasts.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 3 medium)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian seasoned)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk or water
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Place each chicken breast between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, whisk together the eggs and milk (or water).
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the egg wash, and finally press into the Parmesan cheese mixture to coat.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra crunchy texture, try using panko breadcrumbs. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket for best results.
