A quick and healthier twist on classic orange chicken, made in the air fryer for a crispy exterior and tender meat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Mix orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger in a bowl.
  2. Marinate the chicken pieces in the sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the marinade and toss with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the coated chicken pieces in a single layer.
  6. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
  7. Serve hot with the remaining marinade drizzled on top.

Notes

For extra crispiness, don’t overload the air fryer basket. Use leftover marinade as a drizzle after cooking, ensuring it is thoroughly cooked.
