Delicious chicken burgers made with ground chicken, fresh spinach, and rich white cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, extra cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix gently until all ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil.
  5. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Transfer the cooked patties to a plate, allowing them to rest for a few minutes.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the patties on the buns with your favorite optional toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, experiment with various spices or herbs, such as Italian seasoning or paprika. Ensure the patties are shaped slightly larger than the buns as they will shrink during cooking.
