A classic Italian dish featuring juicy chicken breasts coated in crispy breadcrumbs, topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella cheese.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each chicken breast with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing it onto the chicken for a thick layer.
  4. Place the coated chicken in a baking dish and spray lightly with olive oil.
  5. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the chicken and spoon marinara sauce over each piece, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Return the chicken to the oven for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

Pat the chicken breasts dry before coating to ensure the mixture adheres well. Experiment with seasonings for variety.
