A comforting dish featuring twisted pasta with honey garlic chicken and a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  3. Add the chicken to the hot skillet. Cook each piece for about 5–6 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, decrease the heat to medium, adding the remaining tablespoon of butter along with the minced garlic.
  6. Sauté until fragrant.
  7. Stir in the honey and soy sauce, allowing it to cook until bubbling.
  8. Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it simmer for 2–3 minutes until it’s well-coated and glossy.
  9. Meanwhile, cook the rotini in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Don’t forget to reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  10. In another pan, warm the heavy cream over medium-low heat. Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until you achieve a smooth sauce. If the mixture thickens too much, add in some reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  11. Once everything is ready, toss the cooked rotini in the Parmesan sauce until thoroughly coated. Plate the pasta, topping it with the honey garlic chicken. For a finishing touch, garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the skillet when cooking the chicken to ensure proper browning. Stir often to prevent sticking while preparing components.
