Juicy and flavorful turkey burgers that impress at any gathering, made with a mix of seasonings and lean turkey.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • â…“ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 4 hamburger buns

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
  3. Shape into four patties, about ½ inch thick, creating a slight depression in the center of each.
  4. Place the patties on a parchment-lined plate and freeze for about 20 minutes.
  5. For grilling: Preheat the grill to medium-high and grill the turkey burgers for a few minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.
  6. For skillet cooking: Heat canola oil over medium-high heat and cook patties for 4–5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  7. For baking: Bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes, then sear briefly in a hot pan for 2 minutes on each side.
  8. Serve on buns with your choice of condiments and toppings.

Notes

Keep the ground turkey cold before mixing to enhance texture. Experiment with flavors by adding fresh herbs or different toppings.
