A delightful dish featuring succulent chicken and luscious noodles, enveloped in a sticky, garlicky sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, mix the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes to create the sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 6–8 minutes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the chicken, stirring to coat. Allow it to simmer and thicken for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and toss with a little oil if desired.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss them to combine with the chicken and sauce.
  8. Garnish your dish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Use high-quality soy sauce to elevate the umami notes.
