Delicious and nutritious turkey burgers combining lean turkey, fresh spinach, and tangy feta cheese for a guilt-free option on burger night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh spinach (finely chopped)
  • 3/4 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 1 large sweet onion (grated)
  • 1 egg (whisked)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, finely chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, grated onion, whisked egg, minced garlic, basil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix everything together until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  3. Shape the mixture into burger patties, aiming for about 4-6 per pound of turkey.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Remove from heat and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality feta for the best flavor. Mix gently to avoid dense burgers. Consider freezing shaped patties for future meals.
