A flavorful recipe for crispy, spicy chicken wings that are perfect for game days or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound chicken wings or wingettes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon kick’n chicken seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne powder
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce (sriracha)
  • 12 teaspoons chili flakes (for extra heat)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (chopped) or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chicken wings with garlic powder, black pepper, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, kick’n chicken seasoning, cayenne powder, mustard, baking powder, and corn starch. Toss until wings are evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. While wings bake, heat olive oil and butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in ketchup, chili sauce, chili flakes, honey, and soy sauce. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken slightly.
  5. Once the wings are golden and crispy, toss them in the sauce until well-coated. Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

Ensure the wings are thawed and patted dry for better crispiness. Adjust spice levels to your preference.
