  • 15 ml vegetable oil (1 tbsp)
  • 5 ml crushed red pepper flakes (1/2 tsp)
  • Salt
  • A sous vide machine; a 4-liter vacuum-sealable or resealable plastic bag

Instructions

  1. Set the sous vide device to your desired temperature.
  2. In a bowl, combine the dill, lemon zest, vegetable oil, crushed red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Rub the mixture evenly over the salmon fillet.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon into a vacuum-sealable bag.
  5. Seal the bag, ensuring no air remains inside.
  6. Submerge the sealed bag in the water bath once the sous vide has reached the set temperature.
  7. Allow the salmon to cook in the water bath for the specified amount of time.
  8. Once cooked, remove the salmon from the bag.
  9. If desired, quickly sear the salmon in a hot pan to add a crispy exterior.
  10. Serve the salmon immediately, garnished with additional dill or lemon zest if preferred.
