Ingredients

  • – 4 ears corn (600g) shucked
  • – 4 tablespoons (60 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Set your sous vide equipment to reach a temperature of 182ºF.
  2. Place the corn, vegetable oil, and garlic salt in a vacuum-sealed bag, ensuring they are in a single layer, and immerse the bag in the sous vide bath at 182ºF for half an hour.
  3. After the time is up, take the corn out of the bath. Open the bag and take out the corn, saving the seasoned oil if you like.
  4. Serve the corn as is, or for an extra touch, grill the sous vide corn over high heat, turning it every 30 to 60 seconds until grill marks appear.

Notes

  • For a healthier twist, substitute olive oil for vegetable oil to elevate the flavor.
  • Enhance the grilled corn with a sprinkle of smoked paprika before serving.
  • Get creative with seasonings like chili powder or cumin for a spicy flavor boost.
