Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ears corn shucked
  • 4 tablespoon (60 ml) s vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Set your sous vide device to a temperature of 182ºF.
  2. Place the corn, vegetable oil, and garlic salt in a vacuum-sealed bag, ensuring they are in a flat layer, then submerge the bag in the sous vide bath at 182ºF for half an hour. After this time, take the corn out of the hot water. Open the bag and remove the corn. You can keep the oil mixture for later use if desired.
  3. You can eat the corn as it is or place the sous vide corn on the cob on a hot grill, turning every 30 to 60 seconds, until you see grill marks.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider using smoked garlic salt in place of regular garlic salt.
  • Try experimenting with different oils such as avocado or chili-infused oil for a unique twist.
  • For a more charred taste, grill the corn for a longer period to enhance the grill marks.
