A vibrant shawarma marinade that transforms meat and vegetables with a blend of spices, honey, and lemon juice.

  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine cumin, paprika, cinnamon, and turmeric. Mix well to prevent clumping.
  2. Add lemon juice and honey, stirring until the marinade is smooth.
  3. Place chicken, lamb, beef, or vegetables in a storage container and pour the marinade over, ensuring everything is well-coated.
  4. Marinate in the fridge for at least one hour, or longer for a stronger flavor.
  5. Cook on high heat (grill, bake, or pan-sear) until charred and cooked through.
  6. Let sit for a few minutes before serving with rice or pita and garnish with herbs.
