Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, this Parmesan Crusted Chicken is a simple yet flavorful dish perfect for family meals or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian-style)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for even cooking.
  2. Create a breading station with flour in one bowl, a whisked egg and milk mixture in another, and a mixture of Parmesan, breadcrumbs, and spices in the final bowl.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, coating it well.
  4. Dip the floured chicken in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.
  5. Roll the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Let the chicken rest for about a minute before serving.
  8. Serve with lemon wedges, salad, or pasta for a complete meal.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for better flavor. Allow chicken to rest after cooking for enhanced juiciness.
