A mouthwatering dish featuring tender chicken breasts topped with crispy bacon, mushrooms, and a creamy honey mustard sauce.

  • 4 skinless chicken breast portions
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 tablespoon chicken seasoning
  • 1/2 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 2 cups shredded Colby/Jack cheese
  • 2 cups sliced button mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup yellow grainy mustard
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Marinate the chicken breasts for 45 minutes.
  3. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy and set aside.
  4. Mix chicken seasoning, onion powder, and paprika; rub this mixture onto the marinated chicken.
  5. Combine honey, mustard, onion flakes, and mayonnaise in a non-stick pan; stir until smooth.
  6. Brown the marinated chicken in bacon fat, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Place the chicken in a baking dish and top it with the honey mustard sauce, mushrooms, crumbled bacon, and shredded cheese.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate the chicken in the refrigerator. Cook the bacon until it’s very crispy for better topping texture.
