  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, and water. Stir until well combined.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and pour the rice and soup mixture in, spreading it evenly.
  4. Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture and season them with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle the packet of onion soup mix evenly over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
  6. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to trap steam during baking.
  7. Bake for 90 minutes, resisting the urge to peek.
  8. Upon completion, let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
