Experience flavorful, restaurant-quality Mexican chicken breast marinated in a blend of spices for a delicious meal.

  • 1.5 lb boneless chicken breast
  • ½ Tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, oregano, chopped cilantro, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into thinner cutlets for even cooking.
  3. Place the cutlets into a freezer bag or bowl.
  4. Pour the marinade over the cutlets and massage it into the chicken.
  5. Let it rest for at least 30 minutes in the fridge.
  6. Heat a heavy-duty griddle pan over medium-high heat and brush with oil.
  7. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 3-4 minutes undisturbed.
  8. Flip the chicken and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until fully cooked.
  9. Remove from the pan and let the chicken rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Marinate longer for deeper flavor. Experiment with spices to customize the taste.
