Juicy grilled chicken marinated in a zesty mixture, served on a toasted bun with fresh toppings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 6 lettuce leaves (optional)
  • 2 tomatoes (sliced, optional)
  • 1 cup dill pickle slices (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 avocados (sliced, optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the olive oil, honey, lime juice, chili powder, and cumin in a ziploc bag.
  2. Place the chicken inside, seal the bag, and ensure each piece is thoroughly coated in the marinade.
  3. Refrigerate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, ideally 8-10 hours for robust flavor.
  4. Remove the chicken from the fridge once ready. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the chicken for a few minutes on each side, turning once, until the chicken is no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature of 165℉.
  6. If desired, toast your hamburger buns on the grill for added crunch.
  7. Serve your marinated grilled chicken sandwiches with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For the best flavor, allow chicken to marinate overnight. Adjust cooking times based on grill type and chicken thickness.
