A heartwarming chicken and rice casserole that brings families together with its creamy, savory flavors.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups instant white rice
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of celery soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.5 cup butter, sliced into pats

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a prepared casserole dish, stir together the diced chicken, water, instant rice, and all three soups.
  3. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to your liking.
  4. Arrange the pats of butter evenly over the top of the mixture.
  5. Bake for about 60 to 75 minutes, checking for tenderness of the rice and doneness of the chicken.
  6. Allow the casserole to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, add breadcrumbs or crushed crackers on top for the last few minutes of baking. You can also add some steamed vegetables for added nutrition.
