Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the shrimp and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Toss in the broccoli florets and red pepper flakes, cooking until the broccoli becomes tender but still bright green, around 5-6 minutes.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and drizzle in the lemon juice.
  6. Serve immediately as a light meal.

Notes

For additional heat, add your favorite hot sauce. To enhance color, consider adding bell peppers or snap peas.
