Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to achieve uniform thickness.
  3. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. In a bowl, mix ranch dressing and sour cream, then spread over the chicken.
  7. In another bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, shredded provolone, panko breadcrumbs, and melted butter. Spoon this mixture over the chicken, pressing gently to form a crust.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Optionally, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes for an extra crispy top.
  10. Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure that chicken is of uniform thickness for even cooking. Experiment with different cheese combinations for variety.
