Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 to 2 jalapeño peppers, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 slices cooked bacon
  • Optional: lettuce wraps for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeños, and garlic. Mix until well combined.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, almond flour, onion, salt, pepper, and cumin.
  3. Use a burger press to shape patties with a well in the center. Fill the well with cream cheese mixture and cover with more turkey mixture.
  4. Preheat a grill to medium-high, brush burgers with olive oil, and grill for 7 to 8 minutes on each side until cooked through (internal temperature of 165ºF).
  5. Top with bacon and serve on lettuce wraps or buns.

Notes

Chill the cream cheese mixture before stuffing for easier handling. Adjust spice level by removing seeds from jalapeños.
