Classic Irish Pub Burgers featuring juicy beef, crispy bacon, and melted cheddar, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 cup (about 100 g) shredded Irish cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 4 burger buns (preferably toasted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the burger patties by gently breaking apart the ground beef and mixing it without overworking.
  2. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape each into thick patties, making an indentation in the center.
  3. Season the patties with Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Allow them to rest for about 10 minutes.
  4. Cook the patties on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add a slice of Irish cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun, adding crispy bacon and caramelized onions, then topping with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

Allow ground beef to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before shaping. Consider using a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature.
