Juicy and flavorful ground chicken burgers, a healthier alternative to traditional beef burgers, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Pickles
  • Pickled onion
  • Mayo or BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and paprika.
  2. Mix the ingredients using your hands until the seasonings are evenly distributed.
  3. Flatten the chicken mixture in the bowl and score it into four evenly-sized sections.
  4. Shape each section into a patty, forming a small crater in one side to prevent shrinkage.
  5. Place the patties in the hot skillet, making sure to leave space between them.
  6. Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and top with cheddar cheese. Cover loosely with foil or parchment to allow the cheese to melt.
  8. Toast hamburger buns under the broiler for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve the burgers with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, keep hands slightly wet while shaping patties to prevent sticking. Allowing patties to rest before cooking helps them hold their shape.
