Delicious grilled steak and shrimp skewers marinated in spices and topped with a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for summer barbecues.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for marinating the steak and shrimp)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted for the sauce)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt (for seasoning the sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the cubed sirloin steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the steak is fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside while the steak marinates.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, add in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Thread the marinated steak and shrimp onto skewers, alternating between the two.
  5. Grill the skewers for about 3-4 minutes on each side until the steak reaches your desired doneness and the shrimp turns pink and opaque.
  6. Remove the skewers from the grill and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh ingredients and allow for adequate marination time. Soak wooden skewers before grilling to prevent burning.
