A lighter take on classic burgers, these grilled ground chicken burgers are juicy and packed with flavor, perfect for summer cookouts.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Burger buns
  • Favorite toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese)

Instructions

  1. Combine ground chicken and beaten egg in a large bowl.
  2. Add breadcrumbs, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
  4. Form mixture into four patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each.
  5. Chill patties for 15-20 minutes to firm up.
  6. Preheat grill to medium-high and oil the grates lightly.
  7. Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, ensuring an internal temperature of 165°F.
  8. Let burgers rest for 2 minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in bell peppers or jalapeños. Allow burgers to rest after cooking for best results.
