A vibrant dish of grilled chicken topped with mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, and basil, drizzled with balsamic reduction.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices fresh tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons sliced basil
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  3. Spray the grill with non-stick cooking spray.
  4. Cook the chicken breasts on the grill until they are almost fully cooked.
  5. Place a slice of mozzarella on each chicken breast.
  6. Close the grill lid and continue cooking for a few minutes until the cheese melts.
  7. Remove the chicken from the grill.
  8. Top each chicken breast with a slice of tomato and sprinkle with sliced basil.
  9. Drizzle with homemade balsamic reduction.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after grilling to retain moisture.
