  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, mix together salsa verde, diced onion, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the salsa mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 360-480 minutes or high for 180-240 minutes, until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  5. Shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh cilantro.
