A classic Greek dish featuring marinated grilled chicken served with a refreshing tzatziki sauce.

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to prepare the marinade.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the bowl, ensuring they coat well in the marinade.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  6. While grilling, prepare the tzatziki by combining Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, chopped dill, lemon juice, and minced garlic in a bowl.
  7. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  8. Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes and then slice it.
  9. Serve the grilled chicken topped with a generous dollop of tzatziki.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, marinate the chicken longer or even overnight. Serve with fresh greens or pita bread.
