A delicious and easy dish combining tender chicken and bright green broccoli in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add 1/4 cup of water and broccoli. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Discard excess water.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, melt butter and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  4. Stir in soy sauce and lemon juice. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in garlic butter. Cook for 1-2 minutes to meld flavors.
  6. Gently fold in steamed broccoli and mix well.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and parsley if desired. Serve warm, optionally with rice or pasta.

Notes

Utilizing fresh ingredients enhances the flavor. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference and consider marinating the chicken for deeper flavor.
