A vibrant and flavorful Greek chicken marinade that transforms your meals into something extraordinary with simple ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken (thighs, breasts, or drumsticks)
  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl or mason jar. Whisk or shake well until all ingredients are mixed.
  2. Place the chicken into a large zip-top bag or shallow dish.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag or cover the dish, and massage the chicken to coat it evenly.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for optimal flavor.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and grill, bake, or sauté until golden and cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate overnight. Save any leftover marinade to use as a flavorful dressing for grilled veggies or salad, but be sure to boil it if it touches raw chicken.
