A simple and delicious baked honey Dijon chicken recipe that combines tender chicken breasts with a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme, optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season them with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, and, if desired, the apple cider vinegar. Stir in the garlic powder and onion powder.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the honey Dijon sauce over the chicken, ensuring you coat each piece evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Once finished, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve it hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Letting the chicken sit for 5-10 minutes after baking allows the juices to redistribute for enhanced tenderness.
