A delightful blend of savory chicken and sweet pineapple, slow-cooked to perfection in a BBQ sauce for a comforting meal.

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot. Arrange them so they fit snugly.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Mix together the barbecue sauce, pineapple chunks, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a medium bowl.
  4. Pour the pineapple BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it using two forks.
  7. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and mix it with the sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped green onions.

Notes

For optimal flavor, let the pineapple soak in the barbecue sauce mix for a few minutes before cooking. Adjust soy sauce to taste for a personalized flavor.
