Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped or left whole)
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup chicken stock
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 0.6 ounces Italian dressing mix
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta

Instructions

  1. Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the bottom of the crockpot.
  3. Sprinkle in the garlic.
  4. Soften the butter and cream cheese in the microwave for easy mixing.
  5. Whisk them together until the mixture becomes smooth.
  6. Gradually add the cream of chicken soup, ensuring not to dilute it.
  7. Mix in the Italian dressing mix and chicken stock, whisking until well combined.
  8. Pour the creamy mixture over the chicken breasts.
  9. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
  10. OPTIONAL: About 30 minutes before the cooking time is finished, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it back into the sauce.
  11. Just before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions, then drain.
  12. Serve the tender chicken over the cooked pasta.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken overnight in Italian dressing for extra flavor. Stir the sauce gently before serving and adjust seasoning to taste.
