These crispy dry rub chicken wings are a flavorful and easy-to-make dish perfect for gatherings and game days.

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and place a wire rack on top.
  3. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  4. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil until evenly coated.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and baking powder.
  6. Sprinkle this dry rub mixture evenly over the wings, tossing until well coated.
  7. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let the wings rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra heat, increase the cayenne pepper. Always ensure wings are dried thoroughly for the best crispiness.
