A simple yet flavorful dish combining tender chicken breasts with a rich, creamy sauce made from cherry tomatoes, garlic, and fresh basil.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook until softened.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and add dried basil. Stir to combine and let simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve.

Notes

Start with room-temperature chicken for even cooking. Simmer the sauce longer for a thicker consistency. Always taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
