A luxurious dish of tender chicken simmered in a creamy broth, served over rice. Perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Add the chicken to the pot and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  5. In the same pot, add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and thyme.
  7. Return the chicken to the pot, cover, and let simmer for 20-25 minutes, until cooked through.
  8. Serve the creamy chicken over cooked rice.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for some of the heavy cream. Feel free to add sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients.
