A weeknight comfort food dish that combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy garlic and Parmesan sauce, perfect for any evening meal.

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound to even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to deglaze the skillet, scraping any bits off the bottom. Add grated Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet. Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes to heat through and coat the chicken with the creamy sauce.

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute half of the heavy cream with chicken broth. Pair with steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
